hemis is a company specialising in Structural Engineering and Daniel Brown is the sole owner of the business.

Daniel has a Masters Degree in Advanced Structures and an Honour's Degree in Civil Engineering and is a qualified Structural Engineer. Daniel prepared his first drawing for a loft-conversion in 1981 and has been preparing drawings and calculations for lofts, extensions and structural alterations ever since.

Established in 2007, hemis was created as an on-line, digital structural-engineering design service. Investing in the best design software - AutoCAD, Revit, SkyCiv - and writing all the in-house Engineering Software. Working from drawings in any format, Daniel prepares drawings showing the structural information suitable for builders, Building Control and fabrication.

Construction regulation has changed considerably since 1980 and Daniel has continued developing hemis and all designs and checks are in accordance with the Eurocodes and the Building Regulations.
